Senior Angular Developer (Angular 19+)

Project Overview

• Join the corporate and investment banking division of a top 10 global bank by total assets, based in Singapore's second largest IT center.
• Collaborate across 30 international markets supporting core banking and cross-department projects.
• Help build and maintain premium in-house banking applications providing competitive advantages.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining a pre-trade application facilitating RFQ workflows between Sales and Traders with real-time pricing and integrated booking.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, propose system architecture changes, and oversee operational models.
• Write high-quality, fully tested code aligned with deadlines and standards.
• Engage with business analysts to clarify and understand requirements.
• Manage deployments and changes to the application and platform.
• Develop and coordinate test strategies alongside project management and business teams.
• Support user acceptance testing with technical expertise.
• Manage incidents and enhancement requests, communicate effectively with users and IT teams, and document deliverables.
• Support production environments by troubleshooting, resolving issues, optimizing solutions, and monitoring software quality.
• Implement change management processes including monthly release cycles and roadmap support.
• Provide expert-level application support (level 3) and resolve operational issues.
• Promote continuous improvement through process refinement.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related fields.
• A minimum of 5 years' professional experience in front-end development.

Technical Skills

• Expert-level knowledge of Angular 19+ framework.
• Proficiency with AG Grid, NgRx store, Angular signals, and signal store.
• Strong design sense and user experience principles.
• Experience with code reviews and enforcing Angular best practices to maintain consistency.
• Skilled in developing automated behavior-driven development (BDD) tests.
• Back-end familiarity with Python, REST APIs, and FastAPI for service development and maintenance.
• DevOps skills including Docker, Kubernetes, microservices architecture, GitOps, ArgoCD, Maven, Git, and CI/CD tooling like GitLab, Jenkins, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting systems such as Elasticsearch.
• Understanding of cloud-native architectures and AWS cloud platform.
• Solid computer science fundamentals covering algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and strong debugging skills without relying solely on debuggers.
• Experience with static analysis tools like SonarQube.
• SQL proficiency with PostgreSQL and Redis or related query dialects like HQL.
• Integration testing expertise.
• Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as Jira.
• Commitment to software craftsmanship and DevOps culture.
• Effective use of AI-enhanced programming tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) and knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, including prompt engineering and evaluating AI output quality and security.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience in Java programming.
• Fundamentals of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, and ReactJS.
• Strong Linux and Bash scripting knowledge.
• Familiarity or interest in finance, especially interest rate derivatives like IRS, Forwards, Futures, Swaptions.
• Experience with JupyterLab, JupyterHub, Jupyter notebook, and Mercury ecosystem.
