Senior Android Developer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer based in Bangalore who is passionate about advancing mobile technology and working alongside a talented engineering team. You will be instrumental in designing and building cutting-edge mobile applications for the MishiPay Android platform. Your role will involve evolving and optimizing our technical stack to accommodate growth, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and enjoying a tech-driven, inspiring work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop sophisticated applications for the MishiPay Android platform, integrating current technologies and features to enhance the shopping experience.
• Partner with teams across sales, operations, and product management to define, design, and launch new app functionalities.
• Integrate and manage third-party platform capabilities, data sources, and APIs.
• Conduct comprehensive unit testing to ensure code robustness, including handling edge cases and usability aspects.
• Address bugs and enhance overall application performance.
• Continuously research and apply new technological advancements to improve development efficacy.

Candidate Requirements

• Experienced Android developer ideally from a startup or fast-paced, high-volume transaction environment capable of thriving under such conditions.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and familiarity with Payment SDKs.
• Have published at least one Android app on the Play Store.
• Experience with asynchronous programming techniques.
• In-depth understanding of the entire mobile development lifecycle.
• Knowledgeable about the mobile ecosystem, including architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Previous involvement with POS device integration.
• Familiarity with mobile device management tools like MDM or similar remote device management software.
• Minimum five years of Android development background, particularly with payment applications in startups or rapidly growing companies that handle high transaction volumes.
