Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Android Developer to take full responsibility for our Android application. You will guide the app's architecture, scalability, and future development, utilizing modern Android technologies and best practices. In this position, your expert opinions on architecture, performance, and developer experience will be vital as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to build an exceptional mobile product.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of robust, maintainable Android apps using contemporary architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.
• Drive the integration and use of Jetpack Compose for building dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
• Promote best practices including modularization, code quality assurance, comprehensive testing, and performance optimization to ensure the app’s scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver user-focused features of high quality.
• Manage the release pipeline encompassing CI/CD, automated tests (unit and UI), and release processes.
• Maintain app reliability by employing monitoring, logging, and performance tracking tools.
• Document architecture decisions, feature specifications, and technical processes thoroughly for team reference.
• Keep abreast of emerging Android trends, tools, and frameworks and proactively propose enhancements to codebases, tooling, and workflows.

Technical Skills and Experience

• Proven extensive experience in Android development with a strong command of Kotlin.
• In-depth knowledge of the Android SDK and latest Android development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for UI, Coroutines and Flow for asynchronous programming, Dependency Injection frameworks such as Hilt or Dagger, and REST API interaction via Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Solid understanding of clean architecture principles, design patterns, and modularization techniques.
• Experience in writing maintainable and testable code using testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, and MockK.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and workflows.
• Strong sense of ownership over complex projects with an ability to independently deliver high-quality solutions.
• Focus on optimizing application performance, scalability, and delivering excellent user experiences.
