Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to enhance our data architecture, develop advanced data models, and champion analytics engineering standards including data quality, documentation, and scalable data systems. This role involves working closely with business teams to deliver valuable data insights and mentoring junior team members to nurture their professional growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, build, and sustain complex, scalable data models utilizing Snowflake and dbt.
- Enable effective data exposure through BI tools to support self-service analytics for business users.
- Manage straightforward data ingestion workflows using no-code integration tools to streamline data pipelines.
- Enhance dataset metadata by adding thorough documentation, performing data quality validations, and applying sensitive data masking.
- Facilitate data activation by transferring data from Snowflake into operational platforms.
- Identify data quality concerns proactively and communicate them to relevant process owners for resolution.
- Lead educational initiatives to promote BI tool adoption and proficiency across the organization.
- Provide informal mentorship and foster knowledge exchange among junior analytics engineers.
Candidate Profile
- Proven extensive experience in analytics engineering or related roles, with strong skills in advanced SQL, dbt, and Snowflake.
- Expertise in utilizing BI platforms (such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or Snowsight) to generate insightful and actionable business intelligence.
- Experienced in using no-code data ingestion and activation tools like Fivetran or Stitch to ensure efficient data integration.
- Competent in managing metadata, documentation, data quality controls, and safeguarding sensitive information.
- Excellent collaborator capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders to assess data requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct training sessions and mentor junior team members, encouraging a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
