Role Overview

The Senior Analyst in the Fees Division handles intricate aspects of Accounts Receivable, including account set-ups, preparing all period-end invoices for designated clients, applying cash payments, auditing account openings and closures, and managing billing-related special projects. Acting as a primary contact, the Senior Analyst assists with fee calculations, analysis, and inquiries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This role requires a thorough understanding of fee processes, associated risks, and their effects on the bank’s financial statements and client services. Investigation and resolution of billing concerns are crucial, alongside adherence to compliance and internal audit standards. The Senior Analyst also aids the Fee Leadership Team in maintaining best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex Accounts Receivable tasks, including client account set-ups, period-end invoicing, cash applications, account audits, and participation in billing special projects.
  • Continually review fee reports for calculation errors, data inaccuracies, and fee variations across periods for assigned accounts.
  • Provide expertise and training support to new fee analysts within the team.
  • Organize daily priorities to meet productivity, accuracy, and timeliness standards established by the Fees Division.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure clients receive correct and prompt invoices and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Address fee-related inquiries from clients and partners promptly.
  • Serve as a key interface among Fee Billing, SOX compliance, internal and external auditors, and operational units, offering analytical and procedural insights.
  • Gain experience by cross-training in multiple fee-related areas to develop comprehensive skills.
  • Respond to internal and external information requests related to fees.
  • Investigate complex fee transactions thoroughly.
  • Engage in initiatives and projects aimed at improving processes and enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Communicate and escalate issues effectively to Fee Management and the Leadership Team when necessary.
  • Update and maintain policies, procedures, and best practice guidelines within the division.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, or Payroll functions is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and collaborative with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Proficient in managing time, multitasking, setting priorities, and providing feedback timely to management.
  • Self-driven and adaptable, capable of thriving in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Solid mathematical aptitude with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Holding a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent knowledge of the Financial Services sector.
