Role Overview

We are looking for an accomplished Senior AI Engineer skilled in constructing agent-driven AI applications and workflows. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude, OpenAI's GPT series, Google Gemini, and similar technologies to create intelligent systems capable of reasoning, action, and learning. Familiarity with frameworks such as Crew AI, OpenAI Agent SDK, or Langgraph for building multi-agent orchestration is highly valued. This position involves leading the technical design and delivery of innovative AI products, transitioning models from prototypes to production to enhance Profitero+'s offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy sophisticated LLM-based and agentic AI systems using generative models like Claude, OpenAI, and Gemini, alongside frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Crew AI, or equivalents.
• Manage AI systems in production, focusing on deployment, performance tuning, cost efficiency, and iterations.
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions utilizing embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search techniques.
• Craft and optimize prompt engineering and interaction strategies to enhance agentic system outcomes.
• Integrate diverse tools, APIs, and data sources—potentially via Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers—to augment contextual information and tool connectivity.
• Write scalable, clean, and maintainable Python code encompassing backend logic and API integration for agentic applications.
• Establish testing, monitoring, and evaluation procedures to guarantee system reliability, safety, reasoning accuracy, tool utilization, and robust failure handling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Keep abreast of advancements in generative AI, LLMs, agentic systems, and protocols like MCP, assessing their relevance for product enhancements.
• Contribute towards shaping the AI architecture and strategic roadmap.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to junior engineering staff.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, emphasizing AI and machine learning applications.
• Proficiency in Python programming along with experience using relevant AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience developing applications with Large Language Models such as Claude, OpenAI GPT-4, Google Gemini, or similar generative AI platforms.
• Background in building agentic workflows or systems including concepts like planning, memory capabilities, tool implementation, and multi-agent coordination.
• Knowledge of AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, Crew AI, Haystack, or comparable toolsets.
• Practical experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures, use of embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) Servers.
• Experience with RESTful API development and third-party service integration.
• Solid grasp of software engineering best practices such as version control with Git, unit testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Familiarity with Snowflake data platform is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, capable of operating independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
