About Ailytics
Ailytics specializes in creating AI-driven solutions aimed at enhancing safety worldwide by integrating computer vision with predictive analytics. Their platforms operate globally, monitoring over 500 million square meters, and empower companies to detect risks proactively, refine workflows, and ultimately protect lives.
Role Overview
As Senior AI Engineer, you will take complete ownership of the computer vision pipeline foundational to the entire product. This involves managing a real-time system that processes live feeds from thousands of cameras concurrently, running demanding and precise models under strict latency limits. Your decisions directly impact every actionable detection used by clients.
The core challenge lies in balancing throughput, accuracy, cost constraints, and hardware capabilities, especially as much equipment operates on customer premises rather than centralized data centers. You will independently handle architecture and codebase stewardship with full authority over technical direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain full technical responsibility for the computer vision pipeline's architecture, quality, and strategic approach.
- Develop scalable and optimized real-time computer vision pipelines utilizing Python, PyTorch, DeepStream, and GStreamer across both cloud and on-site environments.
- Design systems that effortlessly scale to thousands of cameras, focusing on concurrency, throughput, and stable degradation to prevent rework.
- Implement high-performance model serving strategies including batching, GPU resource optimization, precision tuning, and thorough bottleneck analysis.
- Build robust data ingestion frameworks capable of handling large volumes of video and detection data reliably without losses or backpressure.
- Continuously benchmark and enhance model performance under operational conditions, refining both architecture and supporting software for speed, accuracy, and stability.
- Troubleshoot critical production issues including pipeline halts, dropped frames, memory leaks, GPU overload, and unpredictable failures common at scale.
- Automate deployment, testing, and diagnostic processes by scripting and creating internal tools, leveraging AI-assisted development utilities to boost your workflow.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate with engineers, collaborating closely with AI research, computer vision teams, management, and product owners to define roadmap and delivery.
Candidate Profile
- Expert proficiency in Python as the main programming language.
- Strong hands-on experience working with PyTorch for AI model development.
- Proven production-level expertise using DeepStream and GStreamer to build real-time video streaming and inference pipelines.
- Proficient with OpenCV and comprehensive image processing tools.
- Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and fundamental software engineering best practices, with a commitment to maintainable, scalable code.
- Experience designing and operating high-throughput data ingestion or computer vision pipelines at production scale, not just prototypes.
- Minimum 4 years of designing and deploying AI or computer vision systems in live environments.
- Demonstrated leadership with full ownership of products or codebases, independently driving initiatives and accountability for outcomes.
- Exceptional debugging capabilities to identify root causes in complex, concurrent real-time systems without guesswork.
- Experience deploying solutions across on-premises hardware and cloud setups, with insight into their differing operational behaviors.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, with a proactive approach to automating repetitive tasks.
Why Join Ailytics?
- Make a meaningful impact by contributing to AI technologies that enhance safety in critical, real-world applications used daily across Asia and beyond.
- Join an early-stage startup environment where your input can significantly influence both the product and engineering culture.
- Enjoy full control over architectural decisions tackling complex real-time inference challenges at large camera scales.
- Work with unique, large-scale live data from thousands of continuously operating cameras in diverse industrial environments.
- Be part of a culture valuing excellence, transparency, and humility.
