Senior Accountant

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and educational background in B.Com or MBA. The role involves managing various accounting functions such as general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable, along with preparing financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger activities, accounts payable and receivable processes, and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and management reports for different periods including monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closing operations with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and perform thorough account reconciliations.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on expenses, revenues, and various financial transactions.
• Ensure invoices and payments are processed promptly and correctly.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasting financial results, and analyzing variances.
• Collaborate with auditors by providing necessary financial documentation and support.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, including GST and TDS, and company policies.
• Keep accurate documentation and accounting records up to date.
• Identify any discrepancies in accounting records and initiate corrective measures as needed.
• Support strong internal control measures and suggest improvements in accounting processes.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and review their work where applicable.
• Perform additional finance and accounting tasks as assigned by management.
