Senior Accountant

About the Role

Bayan Medical Company is looking for a proficient and meticulous Senior Accountant to join our finance department based in Dubai. The role involves handling diverse financial operations, ensuring the precision of accounting documentation, and maintaining adherence to company policies and applicable regulations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Compile and assess financial documents such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Guarantee accuracy, punctuality, and compliance of financial reports with accounting standards like GAAP and IFRS.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurately recorded and balanced.
• Support the completion of monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Conduct routine bank account reconciliations along with accounts payable and receivable to verify financial accuracy.
• Prepare budgets and financial projections.
• Analyze financial information, providing actionable insights and recommending remediation when needed.
• Collaborate on and facilitate internal and external audit processes.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations, filing returns accordingly.
• Track and analyze expenditure to pinpoint potential savings and improvements.
• Continually assess accounting processes, proposing enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Mandatory CPA or CA certification.
• 5 to 7 years of professional accounting experience including a minimum of 2 years within the UAE market, with solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong expertise in advanced Excel functionalities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is necessary.
