Senior Accountant

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant specializing in Accounts and Compliance to oversee accounting tasks and statutory adherence for Sparsh Liaison Services LLP along with affiliated companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting activities and ensure accurate maintenance of books for several entities.
• Generate monthly Profit & Loss statements, MIS reports, and various financial analyses.
• Manage preparation, submission, and reconciliation of GST returns.
• Calculate, remit, and reconcile TDS payments and returns.
• Prepare and submit Professional Tax (PT) and ESIC returns as necessary.
• Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, ledgers, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
• Keep detailed statutory records, challans, return documents, and all relevant supporting paperwork.
• Assist in statutory, tax, and internal audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
• Liaise closely with the company's Chartered Accountant, tax advisors, and auditors.
• Maintain a calendar to oversee compliance deadlines and ensure timely submission of all statutory filings and payments.
• Proactively detect and report any accounting or compliance discrepancies to management.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses five to eight years of pertinent experience in accounting and regulatory compliance.
• Thorough practical understanding of GST, TDS, PT, and ESIC requirements.
• Experienced in generating P&L accounts and managing multiple entities simultaneously.
• Proficient user of Tally/Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
• Skilled in audit coordination and account reconciliations.
• Detail-focused, takes ownership, and is capable of working autonomously.
• Qualifications such as CA, CA Inter, CS, or Commerce degree will be beneficial.
