About the Role

Xpertax Auditing Bazaar Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a motivated and seasoned Senior Accountant to join their expanding team in Bengaluru. This individual will independently oversee accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, company registrations, client advisory services, and financial reporting, ensuring full adherence to governing laws and regulations. This role suits professionals passionate about accounting, taxation, compliance, and providing superior client service.

Primary Duties

  • Manage end-to-end accounting for multiple clients independently.
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts utilizing accounting software.
  • Record daily financial transactions meticulously.
  • Prepare essential financial documents including Financial Statements, Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Accounts, Cash Flow Statements, and Management Information System (MIS) reports.
  • Conduct Bank Reconciliation Statements and thorough ledger reviews.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.
  • Finalize books and compile comprehensive financial reports.
  • Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, Annual Returns) and manage related GST registrations, amendments, cancellations, LUT filings, and provide GST advisory.
  • File TDS/TCS returns timely; ensure statutory deductions.
  • Support Income Tax Return preparation for individuals and various business entities.
  • Assist with tax assessments, notices, appeals, and correspondence.
  • Ensure statutory deadlines are met consistently.
  • Manage company and business registrations (Incorporations, LLP, Partnership, Trust, Society, NGO, MSME, Startup India, PAN, TAN, Professional Tax, Shops & Establishment, IEC).
  • Handle amendments, renewals, and closures for registrations.
  • Coordinate ROC filings, annual compliances, statutory records, and MCA documentation.
  • Assist in statutory, internal, tax, GST audits, and financial reviews; prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors/clients.
  • Process payroll and employee compliance functions, maintain salary records and statutory deductions.
  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and reporting needs for management and clients.
  • Manage client communications, provide accounting/taxation/advisory guidance, and interact with government authorities as required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper organization of client financial data and documentation.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • B.Com, M.Com, MBA (Finance), or an equivalent degree.
  • CA Inter qualified or articleship completed preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, taxation, auditing, and compliance fields.
  • Proficiency with accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC functions, Payroll, and statutory compliances.
  • Hands-on experience with Tally Prime, MS Excel, and other accounting software.
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage clients effectively.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Emphasis on accuracy, confidentiality, and maintaining professional ethics.
  • Prior experience at CA firms, consulting agencies, or accounting outsourcing companies is preferred.
  • Ability to efficiently handle multiple client projects and assignments simultaneously.
  • Thorough understanding of business registration processes, compliance, taxation, and audit standards.
