Job description
Primary Duties
- Prepare and examine journal entries and adjustments in accounting, handling monthly and yearly closing processes.
- Manage receivables and payables, perform balance reconciliations, and conduct bank reconciliations.
- Generate financial reports to assist in financial statement compilation; analyze cost and variance data.
- Maintain records of fixed assets, calculate depreciation, and oversee accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Compile supporting documents for Zakat and tax filings while liaising with relevant parties.
- Assist both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and enhance internal accounting controls.
Required Qualifications and Credentials
- Academic background with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar discipline.
- At least eight years experience in accounting, including roles at a senior accountant level.
- Expertise using accounting software and ERP platforms, with strong command of Microsoft Excel.
- Comprehensive understanding of Saudi Arabian accounting standards, Zakat, and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical abilities with keen attention to detail, able to meet strict financial deadlines.
- Professional certifications related to accounting will be considered an asset.
