About the Firm and Role
This boutique accounting and business advisory firm, situated in Perth CBD, emphasizes close collaboration with clients to support their financial and business objectives. The firm operates with a small, close-knit team of four directors and works with diverse clients including private companies, family groups, not-for-profits, and owner-operated enterprises. Services provided include taxation, business advisory, succession planning, business valuation, and superannuation advice. The role is senior and client-facing, granting exposure to multiple industries such as medical, property, mining and resources, professional services, and not-for-profits.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor building long-term client relationships beyond compliance.
- Engage deeply with clients to understand and support their goals across various industries.
- Manage and deliver accounting and business advisory services effectively.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in public accounting practice, preferably in Business Services or Tax.
- Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or Business-related fields.
- Current CA or CPA qualification, or actively pursuing certification.
- Advanced technical expertise in corporate, trust, partnership, and high-net-worth structures including Division 7A, Fringe Benefits Tax, and Capital Gains Tax matters.
- Proficient use of cloud accounting platforms such as Xero/XPM, MYOB AE/AO, Class Super, or BGL.
- Strong communication skills to professionally interact with clients and stakeholders.
