Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Doha on a full-time, on-site basis. The successful candidate will lead daily accounting operations, maintain the general ledger, handle accounts payable and receivable, perform bank reconciliations, and manage month-end and year-end closings.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and monitor cash flow intricately to assist financial planning.
• Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate with external auditors for audits and enhance internal controls and accounting systems.
• Collaborate with various departments and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team capabilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow oversight, and financial data evaluation.
• Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational capabilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly present financial information.
• Collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and to guide junior staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; professional certifications like CPA, ACCA, or CMA are advantageous.
• Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or the e-commerce sector is preferred.
• Demonstrates a high level of ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in financial practices.
