Job description
Job Summary
- Maintain and update the general ledger by accurately recording all financial transactions such as journal entries, receipts, and disbursements.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable processes, including vendor invoicing, payment preparation, accounts payable processing, and aging of accounts receivable.
- Manage fixed asset records diligently, ensuring proper recording of additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and asset movements in line with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations including bank accounts, intercompany balances, and subsidiary ledgers, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Assist in preparing and filing VAT returns on a monthly or quarterly basis, complying thoroughly with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) regulations and maintaining e-invoicing standards.
- Support seamless month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing accruals, provisions, prepayments, and depreciation schedules.
- Generate accurate monthly and annual financial reports for management within strict deadlines.
- Provide documentation and analytical assistance to both internal and external audit teams during annual audits.
Qualification, Skills and Experience
- Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or an allied discipline.
- Over 7 years’ professional experience in project accounting, with preference for construction industry exposure.
- Skilled in ERP software such as SAP and Oracle.
- Understanding of project costing, budgeting, cash flow oversight, and contract management.
