Job Summary
We seek a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director. The role involves active participation in daily accounting operations and monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Responsibilities include preparing financial analyses and reports for headquarters, ensuring account accuracy, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and procedures. The position involves collaboration with operational teams, headquarters, and external advisers in a dynamic setting. It requires substantial autonomy and comprehensive knowledge of the entire accounting cycle. The position is flexible hybrid, with office attendance for two to three days weekly considered advantageous but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage actively in monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing tasks, including journal entry preparation, accruals, and adjustments.
- Prepare, document, and assess balance sheet reconciliations; monitor and address variances and pending items.
- Compile consolidation files, financial reports, and variance analyses for corporate headquarters.
- Interpret financial outcomes and clarify discrepancies between actuals, budgets, and forecasts.
- Process payment requests, invoices, corporate credit card transactions, and expense reimbursements.
- Produce and update daily cash flow reports, conduct bank reconciliations, and oversee liquidity management.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable operations.
- Track fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, capitalization, and maintain accounting record alignment.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring relative to approved budgets.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and headquarters to provide requested information and comply with deadlines.
- Assist in enhancing and maintaining internal controls relating to procurement, payments, financial reporting, and treasury, including compliance with SOX requirements.
- Offer accounting advisory to operational teams, encourage adherence to internal policies, and identify improvements to optimize process efficiency and resource use.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is preferred.
- A minimum of five years' relevant accounting experience, ideally within service or technology sectors.
- Strong practical knowledge of IFRS standards and fundamental financial reporting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office suite, and key artificial intelligence tools.
- Experience with SAP and Concur is advantageous.
- High attention to detail and proven ability for independent work with limited supervision.
- Quick adaptability and an agile approach to evolving circumstances.
- Highly organized, meticulous, effective in time management, and consistently solution-focused.
- Comfortable operating in a bilingual (French and English) environment.
- Korean language skills are an added advantage.
