Job description

About Us

We are a globally oriented organization dedicated to safeguarding enterprise systems, applications, data, infrastructure, and business functions through robust access controls and strong security governance. Our teams collaborate across Cybersecurity, IT, Infrastructure, Applications, Cloud, Human Resources, Risk, Compliance, and various business units to guarantee secure and appropriate access to organizational assets.

We emphasize identity-aware security, enforcing least-privilege access, strong authentication, access governance, privileged access controls, and efficient lifecycle management of access within cloud, hybrid, and enterprise environments.

Role Overview

The Senior Access Management Specialist will lead access management operations, including authorization controls, governance, provisioning, access reviews, privileged access, authentication policies, and continuous enhancements of enterprise access services. This role ensures suitable access is granted to employees, contractors, applications, service accounts, and other identities respecting business needs and security mandates. The position requires close cooperation with Security, IT, HR, Application Owners, Infrastructure, Cloud, Risk, Compliance, and business stakeholders to bolster access controls without compromising user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute enterprise-wide access management strategies aligned with cybersecurity and organizational objectives.
  • Create and maintain access management policies, standards, procedures, workflows, and governance frameworks.
  • Oversee the complete access lifecycle, including requests, approvals, provisioning, modifications, reviews, suspensions, and revocations.
  • Ensure access is provided strictly per business roles, responsibilities, and documented criteria applying least privilege and need-to-know principles.
  • Construct and maintain role-based access-control models covering applications, platforms, infrastructure, and business functions.
  • Define access roles, entitlements, permissions, groups, profiles, and overall authorization frameworks.
  • Keep entitlement catalogs and access-control inventories current and accurate.
  • Analyze existing access configurations to detect and remove unnecessary, excessive, conflicting, or outdated permissions.
  • Coordinate access requests with managers, application, system, and data owners; validate approvals before provisioning.
  • Manage service-level compliance in access provisioning and monitor request queues, exceptions, and escalations.
  • Implement and manage joiner, mover, leaver processes to timely provision or remove access during organizational changes.
  • Conduct and coordinate periodic user-access reviews and entitlement certification campaigns involving business and control owners.
  • Identify and remediate dormant, orphaned, duplicate, generic, shared, or inactive accounts.
  • Enforce controls for high-risk, sensitive, and privileged access with coordination of privileged access management teams.
  • Support just-in-time and just-enough access paradigms; monitor privileged access for policy adherence and violations.
  • Implement segregation-of-duties controls, resolving conflicts collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing access requirements for new systems, cloud services, and technology platforms; participate in onboarding and access-model design.
  • Support integration and automation efforts related to IAM platforms, directories, HR systems, SaaS, and ITSM tools to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Provide ongoing support for authentication technologies such as single sign-on, federation, multi-factor and conditional access controls.
  • Manage access service requests, incidents, exceptions, and escalations; investigate unauthorized or inappropriate access and support security incident response.
  • Review access logs and security telemetry to detect anomalies and coordinate with Security Operations on alerts or incidents.
  • Maintain thorough access-control documentation and evidence for audits, regulatory reviews, and security assessments.
  • Track compliance with internal policies and regulatory mandates, remediating deficiencies from audits or reviews.
  • Maintain operational documentation including procedures, control descriptions, runbooks, and process maps.
  • Oversee access management platform performance, reliability, synchronization, and transaction accuracy.
  • Coordinate relationships with technology providers, vendors, consultants, and managed service partners.
  • Evaluate and support deployment of emerging access management technologies, zero-trust models, and identity analytics.
  • Participate in cybersecurity architecture and access governance reviews, establishing standards for cloud, hybrid, SaaS, and on-premises environments.
  • Design dashboards and reports covering access activities, compliance, risk, and control effectiveness.
  • Monitor risks within access management and develop corrective/preventive action plans.
  • Mentor junior specialists and provide expert guidance on access control best practices.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Timeliness in processing access requests and approvals.
  • Compliance with SLA targets for provisioning, modification, and revocation.
  • Rates of successful and automated provisioning and deprovisioning.
  • Completion rates for access reviews and certifications with effective exception remediation.
  • Remediation of excessive, orphaned, dormant, and inactive accounts.
  • Privileged access review and compliance metrics, including adoption of least privilege and just-in-time access.
  • Role coverage and segregation-of-duties compliance.
  • Monitoring and reduction of unauthorized access and policy violations.
  • Efficiency in responding to access-related security incidents and policy exceptions.
  • Accuracy of entitlement catalogs and synchronization between identities and access rights.
  • Effectiveness of access workflow automation and platform uptime.
  • Audit finding rates and completeness of access control documentation.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and control effectiveness measures.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise access management, identity and access management (IAM), authorization, privileged access, and cybersecurity within complex multinational or regulated industries such as finance or technology.
  • Deep knowledge of access control principles, lifecycle management, and access governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege models.
  • Experienced in conducting thorough user access reviews, entitlement certifications, and correcting inappropriate or excessive permissions.
