Overview
The Security Team Leader supports the Security Executive by overseeing Security Officers on duty, ensuring adherence to hotel security protocols and inspection procedures. This role involves stepping in for the Security Executive as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain safety by conducting property patrols, monitoring CCTV systems and surveillance equipment, and inspecting access points, buildings, and equipment.
- Handle security incidents involving guests, staff, or property, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, with escalation to management or emergency services when necessary.
- Regularly verify fire, safety, security, and emergency procedures, ensuring the team is knowledgeable on evacuation, lockdown, and active threat protocols.
- Lead, supervise, and train Security Officers to meet operational standards, managing resource deployment for efficiency.
- Facilitate team meetings before and after shifts, provide coaching and constructive feedback, and assist in personnel development and succession planning.
- Organize duty rosters and manage annual leave in coordination with the Safety & Security Manager to ensure adequate coverage.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports regarding observations, incidents, surveillance activities, witness testimonies, and evidence collection when required.
- Coordinate daily with other operational departments and represent senior security management as necessary, including during their absences.
- Perform additional duties assigned to uphold Hilton's reputation, values, and standards at all times.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of High School or Secondary Vocational School.
- Possession of a valid Security Officer License issued by Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD).
- Experience with hotel security operations, public security, and fire control management.
- Knowledgeable of fire safety and traffic regulations.
- Certification in First Aid and Company Emergency Response.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Capability to organize and direct staff effectively according to job requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
