Security System Installer

About the Role

USP Integrated is seeking a talented Security System Installer to join their Technical / Project Execution team in Mahalakshmipuram, Bengaluru. This full-time field position involves installing, configuring, testing, commissioning, and maintaining a variety of electronic security solutions at client premises. The role emphasizes ensuring high-quality setup, timely project completion, and excellent client service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Install and activate CCTV systems including IP cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and PTZ models.
• Set up access control devices such as biometric readers, RFID readers, and attendance systems.
• Implement video door phone systems, intrusion alarms, and perimeter security.
• Assist with entry/exit automation devices including boom barriers and tripod turnstiles.
• Carry out cable laying, conduit fitting, cable termination, crimping, and performance testing.
• Configure IP settings, network switches, PoE devices, and basic LAN connections.
• Support fiber optic cabling and network integration tasks as necessary.
• Inspect sites and confirm readiness prior to installation commencement.
• Troubleshoot issues involving hardware, connectivity, cabling, power supply, and system setup.
• Perform system testing, official commissioning, and customer demonstrations.
• Collaborate effectively with project engineers, technical support, and onsite representatives.
• Maintain accurate records including installation reports, service documentation, materials consumption, and commissioning logs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and manage tools and equipment professionally at job sites.
• Fulfill all tasks within scheduled timelines and comply with quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• ITI or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or similar fields preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge are encouraged to apply; practical experience in electronic security installations is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of CCTV, biometric, access control, and other electronic security technologies.
• Familiarity with CAT 5e/6 cabling, RJ45 termination, and cable testing procedures.
• Basic knowledge of IP networking, LAN setups, PoE switching, and configuring network devices.
• Competence in using installation tools, electrical testers, and related equipment.
• Willingness to travel for customer site visits and work at heights using safety gear.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience

Open to candidates from freshers up to two years of experience relevant to security system installation and commissioning. Prior hands-on exposure will be beneficial.
