Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Security Specialist to oversee the implementation, management, and support of enterprise endpoint and email security systems. This position centers on detecting threats, monitoring security incidents, conducting investigations, managing policies, and providing ongoing operational support for various security platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up, administer, and maintain endpoint and email security platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Proofpoint Email Security, Trend Micro solutions, and Microsoft Exchange Online Protection.
- Analyze security alerts related to phishing, malware, ransomware, endpoint breaches, and email threats.
- Configure and adjust security policies to improve threat detection and overall platform performance.
- Perform detailed threat analyses and handle incident investigations, containment, and remediation efforts.
- Collaborate closely with Security Operations Center (SOC) teams in managing security escalations, investigations, and response strategies.
- Continuously monitor security frameworks to verify proper configuration and control enforcement.
- Assist with security audits, assessments, compliance verifications, and maintaining operational documentation.
Essential Qualifications
- Five to six years of professional experience in cybersecurity operations, with emphasis on endpoint and email security.
- Proficiency in using endpoint and email protection tools including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Proofpoint Email Security, Trend Micro Security Solutions, and Microsoft Exchange Online Protection.
- In-depth knowledge of endpoint protection strategies, email security mechanisms, phishing threat analysis, malware investigation, and incident response procedures.
- Experience developing and managing security policies, responding to alerts, and executing threat mitigation.
- Familiarity with email security protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- Capability to integrate security tools effectively with SIEM and SOC platforms.
- Hold relevant certifications from vendors like Microsoft, Proofpoint, or Trend Micro.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Exposure to the Microsoft 365 security environment.
- Understanding of threat hunting methodologies and investigation workflows.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise security operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation competencies.
