Security Operations Engineer (PAM)

Position Overview

We seek an experienced Security Operations Engineer to manage and operate enterprise security infrastructure, with specialized expertise in Privileged Access Management (PAM), Endpoint Protection, and Microsoft Active Directory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, with practical skills in handling and resolving issues related to enterprise security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain enterprise security systems and infrastructure to ensure ongoing stability and security.
• Manage PAM solutions by onboarding users, administering privileged accounts, implementing access policies, monitoring sessions, and troubleshooting related issues.
• Provide direct administration and support for One Identity Safeguard or equivalent PAM systems.
• Administer Endpoint Protection/Security platforms, including configuring policies, monitoring activities, investigating incidents, and resolving issues.
• Preferably work with Trend Micro and/or Microsoft security solutions to enhance endpoint protection.
• Manage and support Microsoft Active Directory environments, handling users, groups, permissions, authentication mechanisms, and Group Policy configurations.
• Monitor security alerts and investigate security-related incidents collaboratively with security teams.
• Perform configurations, troubleshooting, patching, and health checks on security platforms to maintain optimal performance.
• Support security operations tasks such as incident response and remediation of vulnerabilities discovered.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, update operational procedures, and generate security-related reports.
• Coordinate with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to promptly address operational and security issues.
• Ensure security systems operate in line with approved policies, procedures, and service-level agreements.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or security operations roles.
• Proven hands-on expertise with Privileged Access Management solutions.
• Familiarity and experience with One Identity Safeguard highly desirable.
• Strong experience managing Endpoint Protection or Endpoint Security platforms.
• Preferred experience with Trend Micro and/or Microsoft security technologies.
• Good proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory administration.
• Solid understanding of Windows Server environments and enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot security and infrastructure incidents effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for coordination across teams.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within IT/Security Operations teams.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft security-related certifications.
• Certifications specific to One Identity or PAM technologies.
• CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent security certification.
• ITIL certification.
• Other cybersecurity or security operations relevant certifications are advantageous.

Core Technical Skills

• Privileged Access Management: One Identity Safeguard or similar PAM solutions.
• Endpoint Security: Expertise with Trend Micro and Microsoft security platforms.
• Identity Management: Administration of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
• IT Operations: Proficient knowledge of Windows Server, infrastructure monitoring, and troubleshooting.
