Role Overview

As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of our venue. You will be expected to offer outstanding customer service, uphold a professional presence, and foster a welcoming environment for all visitors. Critical aspects of the role include enforcing Challenge 21 policies, verifying patron ages, and identifying vulnerable guests.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service by greeting and engaging with guests in a courteous and professional manner, cultivating a friendly atmosphere.
• Strictly enforce Challenge 21 age verification procedures with precision and care.
• Conduct consistent security patrols around the premises to deter any risks and protect patrons and staff.
• Provide timely first aid when incidents occur until medical staff arrive.
• Assist with evacuations safely and efficiently during emergencies, safeguarding everyone on site.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to patrons who may be vulnerable to ensure their wellbeing.
• Escort cashiers securely when transporting funds within the venue.
• Carry out random entrance searches to enhance safety measures while maintaining guest comfort.
• Support management with staff searches as necessary.
• Monitor guest attendance and compliance with security and Challenge 21 rules, updating relevant documentation and reports.
• Participate actively in briefings and monthly meetings to stay updated and contribute effectively to team efforts.
• Support health and safety initiatives related to events, including assisting with risk assessments and legal safety requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manage client questions, and resolve issues promptly during events.
• Perform any other management-assigned duties to maintain operational excellence.
