Job description
Position Summary
The Security Executive oversees the activities and duties of Security Officers during their shifts, ensuring established positions, procedures, and patrol schedules are strictly followed to maintain guest and team safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage security shifts by supervising patrol patterns and ensuring they meet required frequencies to protect guests and staff.
- Inspect and be knowledgeable about the hotel's fire safety equipment and evacuation routes.
- Ensure Security Officers promptly report any safety, security, or maintenance concerns encountered during patrols.
- Understand each department's operational procedures, security protocols, and emergency measures, supervising staff knowledge and compliance accordingly.
- Conduct unannounced bag checks on employees entering and exiting the property.
- Enforce the asset removal policy to prevent unauthorized removal of hotel property.
- Coordinate approved routes and provide escort services for employees handling cash when necessary.
- Confirm perimeter security patrols are conducted once every three shifts and keep detailed logs.
- Evaluate team member discipline, knowledge, and responsibility in their roles.
- Handle shift scheduling and attendance monitoring for security personnel.
- Implement departmental directives and training programs effectively.
- Randomly inspect premises to verify adherence to security policies, ensuring fire exits and equipment are unobstructed and that stored goods maintain safe distances from sprinkler systems.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to address fire safety and critical system issues.
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints, maintaining professional and effective communication.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of first aid and fire emergency protocols.
- Keep comprehensive records of Safety and Security Audits on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual bases.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Exemplify a professional appearance and positive attitude in line with Hilton standards.
- Promote good communication, team spirit, and rapport among team members through professional interaction.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum two years' experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Possess a valid Security Officer License issued by the Police Licensing and Regulatory Department (PLRD).
- Effective and clear communication skills.
- Sound knowledge of hotel life safety systems, fire equipment, and security procedures.
- Demonstrable leadership capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills paired with keen attention to detail.
- English literacy preferred to fulfill business communication needs.
- First aid certification and Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) training are preferred.
