Security Engineering Practice Lead - CrowdStrike

About the Role

Infotrust is seeking a Security Engineering Practice Lead specializing in CrowdStrike solutions to drive the strategy, capability, quality, and delivery of next-generation SIEM and EDR within managed detection and response services. This full-time role based in Brisbane offers a hybrid work arrangement. The position requires combining practice leadership, hands-on technical work, pre-sales engagement, continuous customer enablement, and improvement efforts to create secure, resilient, and commercially valuable outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and steer the practice vision, develop the roadmap, and set priorities to align offerings with organizational strategy, client demands, revenue goals, and skill-building initiatives.
• Create and uphold repeatable CrowdStrike service offerings, delivery guidelines, technical documents, and artifacts for service transitions.
• Oversee onboarding and implementation of CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM and EDR services, ensuring adherence to architecture and quality standards.
• Lead and mentor the Security Engineering team, facilitating recruitment, skills development, certification paths, and sharing of knowledge.
• Collaborate with sales teams during discovery, scoping, solution design, estimation, proposal development, and client presentations as the subject-matter expert.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical challenges and delivery risks, driving root-cause investigations and resolution tracking.
• Stay informed on emerging threats, technological advances, and industry best practices; recommend improvements to technology stacks and service portfolios.
• Balance strategic leadership duties with active technical delivery, averaging a 50/50 split.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years in security engineering, including hands-on experience with CrowdStrike and managed security service environments.
• Tertiary qualification, professional certification, or equivalent practical cyber security or technology experience.
• Proven expertise in solution design, technical implementation, incident escalation, root-cause diagnostics, client interaction, and pre-sales support.
• Experience working with SIEM, EDR, and managed detection and response systems, including log source onboarding and event analysis.
• Knowledge of CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM and CrowdStrike EDR platforms, as well as familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and CIS frameworks.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams and provide expert guidance on complex customer engagements.
• Advanced understanding of CrowdStrike endpoint protection solutions, supported by Windows and Linux operational knowledge and TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
