Job description
Role Overview
We seek an experienced Security Engineer proficient in NETSCOUT Arbor and DDoS mitigation to oversee the continuous management, monitoring, and resolution of DDoS attacks within a live 24/7 operational setting.
Primary Duties
- Set up, manage, and resolve issues related to NETSCOUT Arbor solutions.
- Observe and interpret network traffic patterns and detect DDoS attack events.
- Develop and enforce policies and filters for DDoS detection and protection.
- Conduct detailed traffic examinations and resolve intricate security-related problems.
- Handle networking protocols including BGP, FlowSpec, TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/HTTPS alongside routing configurations.
- Collaborate with Security Operations Center (SOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), cybersecurity, network teams, and vendors during incident management.
- Execute system health evaluations, optimize configurations, and oversee capacity usage.
- Document incident analyses, root cause findings, and prepare technical reports.
- Deliver 24/7 and on-call support availability as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Network Security or Cybersecurity roles.
- Proven practical expertise with NETSCOUT Arbor technology.
- Strong capability in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating DDoS attacks.
- Solid understanding of networking principles including routing protocols such as BGP and FlowSpec, and TCP/IP.
- Experience working in ISP, telecommunications, data center, or large enterprise environments is desirable.
- Certifications such as Arbor-related, CCNA, CCNP, Security+, CEH, or equivalents add advantage.
