Position Overview
This role combines the responsibilities of a close protection officer and professional driver, dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of high-profile clients during travel and at designated locations across India. Deployments are based on client needs within corporate, residential, or diplomatic settings.
Key Duties
- Provide executive protection through constant vigilance and proactive threat deterrence while accompanying VIPs during transit and public engagements.
- Drive assigned vehicles—sedans, SUVs, or armored cars—in adherence to traffic laws and client protocols, maintaining composure during traffic congestion or emergencies.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle readiness, cleanliness, and fuel status.
- Coordinate route planning with risk assessments and prepare contingency strategies to ensure client safety.
- Respond effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents or hostile attacks, by evacuating clients, alerting authorities, and providing basic first aid when necessary.
- Ensure discretion by safeguarding client confidentiality regarding whereabouts, schedules, and personal details.
- Secure the vehicle and monitor surroundings for suspicious activities, reporting concerns promptly.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum education qualification: completion of 10th grade; 12th grade preferred.
- Valid light motor vehicle license with 3–5 years of accident-free driving experience.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in VIP driving or personal security roles, with preference for former bodyguards, ex-servicemen, or PSOs.
- Familiarity with security procedures, evasive driving techniques, and basic first aid knowledge is advantageous.
- Age between 28 and 50 years.
- Minimum height of 5 feet 8 inches (172 cm), good physical fitness, alertness, and strong build.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in defensive and evasive driving in diverse conditions.
- Strong situational awareness and quick reflexes to identify and mitigate threats.
- Professional and courteous, yet firmly assertive when required.
- Basic understanding of threat assessment and formation tactics for protection.
- Ability to maintain calmness, discretion, and reliability under pressure.
- Communication skills in English, Hindi, and regional languages preferred.
Work Environment
- Flexible, often extended working hours dictated by VIP schedules.
- Potential travel across cities and states.
- Dress code varies between uniform and formal civilian clothes per client instructions.
- On-call availability, including weekends and public holidays.
Compensation and Benefits
