Job description
Role Overview
Join one of the UK's top cyber consultancies as a Security Architect where your skills in cyber security, systems, and operations risk will directly impact meaningful projects across diverse industries. This position requires holding or qualifying for the highest level of UK Security Clearance to engage on sensitive assignments.
Responsibilities
Work collaboratively within a team of over 230 security professionals providing comprehensive security services across government, defence, healthcare, utilities, banking, and financial services sectors. You will design innovative cyber security solutions, develop end-to-end security architectures, support bids and proposals, and oversee implementation and integration efforts. Serving as a security design authority or supporting senior experts, you will liaise with stakeholders at all levels to ensure secure system architectures and promote resilience and trust in client environments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrable experience consulting on secure system design ranging from 1 to over 30 years, ideally including leadership of technical security initiatives.
- Strong understanding and application of security standards and frameworks, with Ministry of Defence and UK Government experience advantageous.
- Expertise in cloud cybersecurity principles and architecture.
- Proficiency in boundary controls, network segmentation, and access control mechanisms.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management systems, including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Attribute/Policy-Based Access Control (A/PBAC), and permissions governance.
- Familiarity with cryptographic methods and their practical applications.
- Experience in IT asset management and vulnerability management including patching processes.
- Understanding of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and their underlying logging frameworks.
- Competence in containerization and virtual machine security techniques.
- Ability to deliver secure solutions that meet project requirements consistently.
- Awareness of, and dedication to, industry best practices and standards.
- Capability to drive transformative change within complex organizational environments.
