Role Overview

As a Section Lead in our Flowers department, you will assist the Store Manager by handling administrative and compliance duties. You will take charge of rostering most departments, managing back-office operations, and ensuring smooth store functioning. You will be the go-to person when issues arise, enabling the Store Manager to lead from the front.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Drive business performance including sales, profit margins, stock control, and labor management.
• Coach and develop team members and identify future leaders.
• Ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS), food safety, and company policies.
• Maintain excellent visual merchandising, quality, and product presentation standards.
• Manage overall store operations during the Store Manager’s absence.

Candidate Profile

• Passionate about food, with previous experience in fresh food retail preferred.
• Prior experience in retail leadership, particularly within supermarkets, fresh food, or specialty retail sectors, is highly valued.
• Customer-oriented with a hands-on leadership approach, leading by example.
• Strong communication skills to foster trust and team engagement.
• Confident in managing employee performance, driving change, and prioritizing operational tasks.
• A commercially minded individual with a focus on continuous improvement.
