A global e-commerce firm listed publicly is seeking a highly skilled Search Recommendation Algorithm Engineer to join their team remotely within Singapore. This role involves developing state-of-the-art personalized recommendation and search algorithms to enhance user experience and conversion metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and refine personalized recommendation algorithms throughout the search process, including semantic search and query-based product suggestions.
• Develop advanced deep learning models that integrate real-time query intent with users' historical data to enable highly tailored product rankings.
• Build scalable, low-latency multi-stage retrieval and ranking systems to improve conversion rates, click-through rates, and relevance.
• Implement modern AI techniques to enhance search discovery capabilities.
• Create comprehensive experimentation frameworks to rigorously test and scale algorithms in production environments.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• At least 7 years of professional experience specializing in large-scale e-commerce search, information retrieval, or recommendation engines.
• Advanced knowledge of semantic search methodologies, vector embeddings, Learning-to-Rank models, and NLP frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++ along with practical experience in machine learning libraries like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with distributed data processing platforms (e.g., Apache Spark), vector databases, and search technologies like Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
