Science Teacher

Role Overview

This full-time Science Teacher position is based onsite in Doha, Qatar. The teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging science lessons that align with the school's curriculum and learning objectives. The role involves thorough lesson planning, teaching science classes, and monitoring student progression through assessments and constructive feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement lesson plans in line with curriculum standards.
• Teach science subjects effectively, emphasizing core scientific principles.
• Evaluate and track student progress and provide supportive feedback.
• Create an inclusive, safe, and dynamic classroom environment.
• Employ diverse teaching methods and incorporate practical experiments when suitable.
• Maintain precise records of student performance and assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and cross-curricular planning.
• Engage with parents or guardians to communicate student progress and concerns.
• Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.

Qualifications and Skills

• Solid foundation in Science Education with expertise in conveying core concepts clearly.
• Subject matter knowledge in Physics and the ability to connect scientific theories with real-life situations.
• Proficiency in Mathematics to assist with data analysis and problem-solving in science teaching.
• Certified or licensed teacher with classroom teaching experience.
• Skilled in lesson planning, curriculum alignment, differentiation, and assessment design.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal abilities, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Education, or closely related disciplines; advanced education or specialization is preferred.
• Experience in international or multilingual educational settings with enthusiasm for continuous professional growth.
