Science Teacher

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position for a Science Teacher is located in Doha, Qatar, within an international school setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging science lessons covering physics and general science topics in alignment with specified curriculum standards and learning goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare lesson plans tailored to diverse student needs.
• Teach science classes, primarily focusing on physics and general science subjects.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support academic growth.
• Maintain detailed records of student performance and development.
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Utilize various teaching methodologies and resources to enhance lesson delivery.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress.
• Participate actively in staff meetings and contribute to extracurricular or science-related programs as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong educational background in Science, with proficiency in teaching physics and math concepts at multiple grade levels.
• Certified Qualified Teacher with proven experience managing classrooms effectively.
• Competence in lesson planning that includes differentiated instruction and assessment alignment with curriculum objectives.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science, Education, or a related discipline is required.
• Prior teaching experience within international or multicultural school environments is beneficial.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management capabilities.
• Capacity to create an inclusive, student-focused learning space and modify teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners.
