Job description
Overview
The Department of Education and Training is seeking several School Social Workers to join their regional teams based in Alice Springs and Tennant Creek. These professionals will play a vital role in delivering direct support services to schools within their assigned regions. Their primary goal is to enhance the educational outcomes of students by adopting the Multi-tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework, which empowers educators to foster student wellbeing and safety.
Key Responsibilities
School Social Workers will consult, plan, and provide evidence-based, short-term individual interventions that address behavioral challenges, emotional wellbeing, and social concerns adversely affecting students' academic performance.
