Job description
Overview
Compass International School Doha, part of Nord Anglia Education, seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead people management efforts. Based in Doha, Qatar, this full-time role demands a collaborative approach with the school Principal and leadership to ensure excellent HR service delivery aligned with both strategic and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment across all school staff roles, coordinating closely with leadership.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, offering advice, coaching, and dispute resolution assistance to staff and managers.
- Handle daily HR administration such as payroll input, contract renewals, attendance tracking, and personnel record maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Labour Law, Ministry of Education and Higher Education requirements, and Nord Anglia HR policies.
- Oversee employee visa renewals, residency documentation, and exit formalities.
- Organize the school’s annual staff appraisal and performance evaluation processes.
- Assist managers with setting objectives, providing feedback, and staff development planning.
- Collaborate with school leadership on workforce planning, compensation strategy, and HR priorities.
- Promote initiatives supporting diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing within the school community.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; CIPD certification is advantageous.
- At least 5 to 7 years' experience as an HR generalist or manager, preferably in educational or service-focused environments.
- Sound knowledge of labour laws, employment legislation, and immigration protocols in Qatar.
- Proven skills in managing high-volume recruitment and onboarding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Exceptional organizational abilities with aptitude for handling multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Experience with HR information systems and data management; familiarity with SuccessFactors is a plus.
- Cultural sensitivity, empathy, and ability to work effectively within an international and diverse setting.
