Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Scheduler to join the Wellington High Court team on a permanent full-time basis. This pivotal role involves managing High Court court schedules across the region, allocating courtrooms, collaborating closely with the Caseflow Manager for judicial resource distribution, and coordinating day-to-day court scheduling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate court schedules that align with anticipated workloads.
- Assign courtrooms effectively and work with judicial resource allocation.
- Liaise with Caseflow Managers to resolve scheduling concerns and enhance judicial resource usage.
- Oversee daily court scheduling operations to ensure smooth workflow.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven expertise in managing fixtures with acute attention to detail for scheduling.
- Working knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi principles and their relevance to the Ministry of Justice's work.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities with strong multitasking skills and resilience to handle unexpected situations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills complemented by high emotional intelligence and collaborative aptitude.
- Experience in utilizing internal systems thoroughly to ensure accurate data entry, smooth workflows, and detailed reporting.
- Resourcefulness and a systematic approach to refining operational processes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive problem solving and adaptability to evolving business demands.

Salary Details
The salary range for this role is between $67,066 and $85,567 annually, dependent upon skills and experience.
