Key Responsibilities

• Operate various saw machines including band saws and circular saws to cut materials precisely following detailed specifications.
• Prepare saws for production runs by configuring speed, feed rates, and blade angles appropriately.
• Monitor the cutting process to ensure compliance with quality standards, performing precise measurements and necessary adjustments.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks on saw equipment such as cleaning, lubricating, and changing blades to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
• Keep detailed records of production output, materials used, and any operational issues, and promptly report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to optimize production workflow.
• Support the training of new operators regarding equipment usage and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum education level of high school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or manufacturing is advantageous.
• Prior experience as a saw operator or in a comparable position is desirable.
• Well-versed in operating different saw types and cutting methodologies.
• High level of attention to detail with the capability to follow exacting standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with solid problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
