Job description
Role Overview
The position of SAP Solution Architect specializes in Technology Solution Planning within the SAP domain. This role acts as the technical foundation for evaluating the current Technology Landscape and assists clients in crafting a strategic roadmap. This roadmap aligns with evolving technology trends to improve business process efficiency and add value. The architect will support CIOs and Transformation Directors by guiding pivotal decisions through a clear understanding of the technical benefits and potential drawbacks.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain trusted-advisor relationships with client executives and internal stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate business impact and value in accessible, non-technical terms.
- Collaborate with client teams, delivery leads, and partners to jointly develop solutions.
- Design comprehensive architectural solutions including application modernization and cloud migration strategies.
- Evaluate various hyperscalers and decide on build versus buy options or on-premise versus RISE/cloud deployment, articulating associated trade-offs and risks.
- Ensure architectural solutions comply with performance, scalability, security, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 20 years of combined experience as an SAP consultant, program manager, and solution architect.
- Proven expertise in designing digital modernization roadmaps encompassing:
- Transformations from ECC to S/4 with multiple strategic approaches.
- Cloud migration strategies including SAP RISE and on-premise to cloud transitions.
- Legacy application consolidation and clean core strategy formulation.
- Hands-on experience with SAP products like SAP CALM, ARIBA, and CRM.
- Utilization of AI and automation to optimize operational and business processes.
- Experience collaborating with offshore teams, especially in India.
- Track record of delivering implementations, rollouts, and application management services.
- Fluency in English and native-level proficiency in German is mandatory.
