About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned SAP MDG Consultant to join our SAP practice. The selected candidate will oversee the implementation, configuration, support, and optimization of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) solutions within enterprise environments.
The ideal applicant will have extensive expertise in SAP MDG, data governance, quality, replication, validation, modeling, workflow configuration, business rules, and master data management. Experience across implementation, rollout, migration, and support projects is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain SAP MDG solutions for enterprise master data management.
- Design and configure MDG data models for Customer, Vendor, Material, Business Partner, and Financial master data domains.
- Collect, analyze, and document master data governance business requirements.
- Configure workflows, validations, derivations, and business rules within MDG.
- Define and enforce data governance standards, processes, and approval workflows.
- Set up replication frameworks and integrate with SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Monitor and enhance master data quality across different business areas.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to establish governance policies and control mechanisms.
- Support activities related to data migration, cleansing, enrichment, and harmonization.
- Manage data replication and synchronization across various landscapes.
- Conduct system integration, user acceptance, regression testing, and provide production support.
- Diagnose and resolve master data issues through root cause analysis.
- Create functional specifications and assist technical teams.
- Participate in project implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and transformations.
- Ensure adherence to organization-wide data governance standards.
- Deliver user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer sessions.
Required Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech / MCA / MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualifications.
- SAP MDG experience: minimum 2 years for JL4 level roles, 5 years for JL5, and 9 years for JL6 roles.
- Strong comprehension of master data management and data governance principles.
