SAP MDG Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned SAP MDG Consultant with extensive expertise in SAP ERP and hands-on experience implementing SAP Master Data Governance or equivalent Master Data Management solutions. The candidate should possess strong functional knowledge in managing Asset and Material Master Data domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct workshops with business teams to gather detailed requirements.
• Establish and define business rules, data standards, governance workflows, and master data-related requirements.
• Convert business needs into detailed functional designs covering data governance processes, validation criteria, and approval flows.
• Collaborate closely with technical and development teams to specify requirements for RFCs, function modules, and SAP system enhancements.
• Design and verify data quality rules, classification frameworks, and master data schemas.
• Assist in configuring and testing governance workflows to ensure optimal functioning.
• Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, overseeing projects from design through deployment and stabilization.
• Develop functional specifications, comprehensive solution documents, and testing scripts.
• Offer expert guidance on SAP master data architecture and governance methodologies.
• Contribute to sales activities by delivering product demonstrations and assisting in preparing Statements of Work (SOW).

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in SAP ERP environments.
• Participation in at least two SAP MDG or Master Data Governance project implementations.
• Robust knowledge and application of SAP Data Governance and Master Data Management concepts.
• Proven experience defining business rules, designing workflows, and developing data quality frameworks.
• Strong functional expertise in Asset and Material Master Data management.
• Proficiency in conducting requirement analysis sessions with business users.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams on SAP developments including RFCs, function modules, and enhancements.
• Deep understanding of master data lifecycle management, data classification, quality validation, and governance workflows.
• Excellent skills in communication and stakeholder interaction.
