Job description
Overview
We are seeking a Junior to Mid-level SAP Integration PI/PO Consultant to assist in creating, configuring, and maintaining integration interfaces linking SAP with non-SAP systems. This role involves working under senior consultants' supervision to build hands-on expertise in interface development, message mapping, and interface monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with designing, configuring, and deploying integration interfaces in SAP PI/PO, including Integration Directory, ESR, and Adapter Engine.
- Develop and configure interfaces connecting SAP and external applications using adapters such as IDoc, SOAP, REST, RFC, and File.
- Support implementation of synchronous and asynchronous integration scenarios with guidance from senior staff.
- Create basic to intermediate data mappings between source and target messages.
- Handle data formats like XML, IDoc, and flat files in integrations, applying reusable mapping components as directed.
- Monitor interface executions, troubleshoot common errors, and escalate complex issues.
- Manage support tickets ensuring resolution within agreed timelines.
- Perform unit testing and assist with System and User Acceptance Testing procedures.
- Document interface settings, mapping logic, and test outcomes accurately.
- Participate in transporting interface components across different system environments under supervision.
- Collaborate closely with senior consultants, functional teams, and business analysts to understand requirements.
- Engage in knowledge sharing and progressively enhance expertise in SAP PI/PO and integration concepts.
- Assist with preparing status reports and basic technical documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with SAP PI/PO platforms, including Integration Directory and ESR/Integration Repository.
- Understanding of common integration adapters: IDoc, SOAP, REST, RFC, File.
- Experience with message mapping at basic to intermediate levels; knowledge of Java/ABAP mapping is advantageous.
- Basic skills in interface monitoring and error detection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Motivation to learn and develop new technical skills through mentorship.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Between 1 to 5 years of practical or supportive experience working with SAP PI/PO solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Introductory knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems.
- Related SAP integration certifications or training would be beneficial.
Additional Information
