SAP Developer (Junior ABAP)

Overview

Sunfix Consulting Myanmar is seeking a Junior SAP ABAP Developer to join their consulting and development team. This position is ideal for early-career developers passionate about SAP technologies, enterprise software, and business process support. The candidate will receive training to assist in SAP implementation, customization, integration, and Application Management Services (AMS).

Core Responsibilities

• Create and maintain SAP applications using ABAP, with guidance from senior consultants and technical leads.
• Develop and modify both classical and ALV ABAP reports.
• Support creation of Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms as needed.
• Assist in SAP system enhancements via User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Framework, and BAPIs.
• Troubleshoot and develop interfaces connecting SAP with external systems.
• Perform basic debugging, error analysis, and root cause identification within ABAP programs.
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants to convert functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Document and maintain technical specifications and development records.
• Conduct Unit Testing and assist with System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support bug fixes, change requests, and routine AMS tasks.
• Adhere to SAP coding standards, naming conventions, quality expectations, and change management procedures.
• Manage transport of development objects through SAP Transport Management System under supervision.
• Learn SAP business processes in modules such as Finance, Materials Management, Sales, and Plant Maintenance.
• Participate in SAP ECC and S/4HANA projects while expanding knowledge of modern SAP development techniques.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming.
• Knowledge of Data Dictionary components: Tables, Structures, Data Elements, Domains.
• ABAP report programming including ALV reports.
• Experience with Function Modules, BAPI, and RFC interfaces.
• Development of Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
• Understanding enhancement methods: User Exit, Customer Exit, BAdI.
• Debugging and problem-solving within ABAP environment.
• Relational database fundamentals and SQL knowledge.
• Basic Object-Oriented Programming principles.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Object-Oriented ABAP programming.
• Usage of CDS Views.
• Developing or consuming OData / REST APIs.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 technologies.
• Familiarity with S/4HANA development concepts.
• Integration with third-party applications.

Qualifications and Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Business IT, or related discipline.
• Open to fresh graduates or those with up to two years of development experience.
• Basic programming experience in ABAP or other languages.
• Understanding of databases and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Eagerness to learn SAP business processes and technologies.
• Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Able to convey technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is an advantage.

Work Conditions

• Location: Dagon Center II, 8th Floor, Myay Ni Gone, Sanchaung Township, Yangon.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Days off: Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays.
