Role Overview

As a Sanitation Technician working remotely for our Greencastle site, you will be responsible for ensuring all processing equipment, floors, and drains are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized nightly to support the packing and shipping of eggs across the U.S. This role requires a self-motivated and efficient individual who can perform cleaning tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Thoroughly rinse, foam, scrub, wash, rinse again, and sanitize equipment including pre-loader, loader, orientator table, spools, washers, dirt detector, crack detector, scales, dryer, transfer mechanisms, packers 1-20, drop brushes.
• Clean pre- and post-process floors, gutters, and drains.
• Conduct an end-of-day hygiene sweep of the entire processing plant to remove waste and debris.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience in a processing environment is advantageous.
• Prior cleaning experience is beneficial.

Working Hours & Schedule

• Shifts may last up to 12 hours daily, depending on production demands.
• Start and end times can vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or fluctuations in production.
• Flexibility in schedule adjustments is necessary to meet operational needs.
