Role Purpose

The Sanitation Technician role is focused on maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the facility by following detailed sanitation procedures and performing various maintenance tasks, including detailed cleaning, assembly of equipment, and other related duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to and document cleaning protocols using master sanitation and daily checklists, ensuring timely task completion.
• Continuously move through the facility to keep it clean and visitor-ready.
• Maintain clean pathways, sinks, trash receptacles, doors, and panels.
• Manage and maintain the chemical storage area in proper order.
• Perform inventory checks to confirm adequate supply levels.
• Handle facility waste and promptly address any spills.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) standards.
• Work scheduled shifts from 6 AM to 2 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, and lift weights between 50-100 pounds for an 8-hour shift.
• Self-driven with strong time management abilities to ensure timely task completion.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Punctuality and reliability expected.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Extended standing and ability to move in various positions such as bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and working with hands in detail.
• Ability to safely lift and transport heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Visual acuity for detail recognition and ability to comprehend safety signage.
• Auditory skills for sound recognition and quick reaction capability.
• Use of personal protective equipment including gloves, hair/beard covers, plant safety footwear, and compliance with GMP attire protocols.
• Work safely around mechanized equipment, food allergens, fluctuating temperatures, and varying noise levels.
