Sanitation Technician

Job Overview

This role involves ensuring that the warehouse and facility environments are maintained in a clean and safe condition by following established methods and procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Remove trash and debris from warehouse and loading dock areas consistently.
• Clean spills of products or other substances promptly to maintain safety.
• Operate cleaning machinery such as power scrubbers and sweepers effectively.
• Thoroughly clean warehouse surfaces including walls, floors, racks, and doors.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility building, surrounding grounds, lighting fixtures, and parking areas.
• Sanitize restrooms, offices, break rooms, and locker rooms regularly.
• Follow a daily cleaning schedule as assigned by supervisors to ensure ongoing sanitation upkeep.
• Maintain adherence to safety practices within the warehouse environment.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred previous experience in sanitation within a warehouse setting.
• Physical capabilities include the ability to communicate effectively, handle tools with manual dexterity, and perform actions such as standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and tasting/smelling as required by the job.
• Must be physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
• Visual requirements include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
