Role Overview

As a Sanitation Associate, you will be essential in upholding cleanliness and food safety standards across the facility. Your duties involve cleaning production equipment and workspaces, handling sanitation chemicals carefully, and maintaining hygiene compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect containers and utensils requiring cleaning.
• Sanitize equipment using approved chemical agents.
• Verify that all containers and utensils are sanitized properly before usage.
• Clean production tools including equipment, tables, carts, and storage trays.
• Maintain cleanliness of production floors, storage rooms, dishwashing sections, and warehouse areas.
• Sort recyclables such as glass, paper, and plastics.
• Wash production floor mats daily to maintain hygiene.
• Ensure sanitation chemicals, cleaning supplies, and tools are stocked and ready.
• Accurately complete and submit sanitation records on time.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like desks, doorknobs, and telephones.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with management and other departments.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and established food safety protocols.

Candidate Requirements

• High School Diploma or Canadian Adult Education Credit (CAEC).
• Competence in reading and interpreting chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Basic proficiency with computers.
• Capability to operate industrial cleaning machinery.
• Skills to perform minor maintenance such as paint touch-ups and drywall repairs.
• Physical ability to lift up to 20 pounds and work in cold environments.
