Role Overview
We are seeking a Sanitation Associate to uphold cleanliness and food safety throughout our facility. Responsibilities include cleaning production equipment, work areas, and managing sanitation chemicals responsibly.
Daily Responsibilities
- Gather containers and utensils for cleaning processes.
- Sanitize equipment utilizing approved chemical agents.
- Ensure all utensils and containers meet sanitation standards before use.
- Clean various production equipment, tables, carts, and storage trays.
- Maintain cleanliness of production floors, storage spaces, dishwashing zones, and warehouse areas.
- Separate recyclable materials like glass, paper, and plastic.
- Wash floor mats used in production areas daily.
- Keep chemical supplies and cleaning tools fully stocked and accessible.
- Complete sanitation records thoroughly and punctually.
- Disinfect frequently touched surfaces including desks, door handles, and phones.
- Effectively communicate with management and cross-functional departments.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and rigorous food safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or Canadian Adult Education Certificate (CAEC).
- Competency in reading and following chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Basic computer literacy.
- Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment.
- Ability to perform minor repairs such as paint touch-ups and drywall maintenance.
- Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds and work in cold environments.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay ranging between $13.00 and $29.00.
