Role Summary

We are seeking a full-time Sandblaster based in Sharjah to prepare the surfaces of vehicle components. Daily duties revolve around the operation of sandblasting machinery to thoroughly clean, strip, and ready metal surfaces. The role demands strict compliance with safety protocols and the use of appropriate protective equipment. Responsibilities include examining parts before and after blasting for defects and coordinating closely with mechanics and paint specialists to ensure surfaces meet quality standards.

Additional tasks encompass routine maintenance of sandblasting tools, upkeep of a clean work environment, and adherence to company policies for material and waste management. This position necessitates rigorous observance of health and safety regulations and teamwork within the vehicle refurbishment department.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in sandblasting or similar industrial surface treatment, including competent and safe operation of related equipment.
• Keen understanding of vehicle body structures, different metal types, and fundamentals of preparation for painting or coatings.
• Strong commitment to occupational health and safety, including effective use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper management of abrasive substances.
• Ability to comprehend and follow work orders and basic technical instructions while maintaining attention to detail.
• Physically capable of enduring long periods of standing, manipulating equipment, and performing tasks in a workshop setting.
• Previous exposure to automotive workshops or industrial maintenance is beneficial.
• Basic proficiency in English or local languages with teamwork and communication skills suited for a diverse workforce.
