Role Overview

We are currently seeking a Sample Receptionist for our Invercargill Food Analytics lab. This full-time position is responsible for receiving lab samples, accurately registering them in eLIMS, labeling, and ensuring timely delivery to analysts. You will also prepare sample bottles and coordinate bottle requests for customers. This role is ideal for an organized, proactive individual comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter samples into the laboratory electronic information management system (eLIMS).
  • Transport samples efficiently within the laboratory setting.
  • Label and prepare sample bottles for use.
  • Assemble and dispatch sample kits to customers as required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and administrative abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • A tertiary degree in science is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in a commercial laboratory is advantageous.
  • Must hold valid New Zealand work rights or residency status.
