Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Salesperson position based in Dehradun involves engaging with potential and current clients by answering queries and providing comprehensive information about available trekking and pilgrimage tours, as well as customized travel options. Key daily tasks include lead generation, following up with prospects, delivering detailed itineraries along with pricing, converting inquiries into bookings, and maintaining accurate sales documentation. Collaboration with operational and customer service teams is essential to facilitate smooth trip organization and ensure superior service quality. The salesperson will also play an active role in local promotional campaigns, build partnerships with travel agents and local stakeholders, and embody the company's principles of safety, transparency, and responsible tourism.
Candidate Qualifications
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer-focused abilities.
- Proven skills in sales, negotiation, lead generation, closing deals, and target achievement.
- Basic marketing and promotional expertise, including familiarity with social media and community engagement.
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, and meticulous attention to booking and documentation details.
- Knowledge of or keen interest in travel, trekking, and the Himalayas; prior experience in travel/tourism sales is advantageous.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Hindi; additional regional languages are beneficial.
- Comfortable using computers, CRM systems or booking software, and standard office applications.
- Educational background in business, tourism, hospitality, or related fields preferred but not mandatory; a growth mindset and ethical integrity are important.
