Overview
Join PwC New Zealand's Customer Transformation team in Wellington as a Salesforce Technical Lead where you will develop innovative, scalable Salesforce solutions that generate tangible business benefits. You will collaborate closely with clients, senior stakeholders, and a diverse project team to craft robust designs across Salesforce platforms while driving digital transformation powered by advanced technologies including AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure technology solutions align with strategic goals.
- Architect, develop, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions covering Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
- Create custom Salesforce features utilizing Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware solutions.
- Work jointly with solution architects, functional consultants, and client teams to translate complex business needs into functional technical designs.
- Lead solution and code reviews, testing, and deployment automation using DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges while improving Salesforce platform efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Promote technical governance, adherence to best practices, and continuous enhancement across projects.
- Incorporate AI and emerging technologies to boost delivery speed, quality, and innovation.
- Mentor and guide consultants and technical teams fostering a collaborative culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Maintain in-depth awareness of Salesforce capabilities, integration methods, and digital transformation trends to drive client innovation.
Skills and Experience
- More than 8 years of extensive experience delivering complex Salesforce technical solutions in consulting and enterprise environments.
- Proven track record working effectively within the public sector, able to manage pressure, operate independently, and accelerate project delivery.
- Valued expertise with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS).
- Knowledge of Salesforce industry-specific features such as Business Rules Engine, Data Processing Engine, Discovery Framework, and Action Plans.
- Relevant Salesforce certifications strongly favored, including Platform Developer I/II, OmniStudio, Application Architect, Data Architect, or System Architect.
- Advanced proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and additional Salesforce products.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce integration patterns, APIs, and middleware technology platforms.
- Expertise in applying DevOps principles, version control systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize AI, automation, and new technologies to accelerate delivery, improve customer experience, and add client value.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with success in translating complex business challenges into scalable technology solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present intricate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
