Role Overview

At PwC New Zealand, our mission is to foster trust in society and tackle significant challenges. Joining our Customer Transformation team in Wellington as a Salesforce Technical Consultant, you will design and implement innovative and scalable Salesforce solutions that drive substantial business impact. In this role, you will serve as a key technical lead within a collaborative environment, working on diverse industries and cutting-edge Salesforce technologies, including AI and innovation-driven projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure technical solutions match strategic goals.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable Salesforce architectures spanning Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Develop custom functionalities using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Create seamless integrations between Salesforce and external systems through REST/SOAP APIs and middleware.
  • Work closely with solution architects, functional consultants, and client teams to convert complex requirements into technical designs.
  • Lead solution and code reviews, testing, and deployments using DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while optimizing platform performance, security, and scalability.
  • Promote technical governance, best practices, and continuous improvement across projects.
  • Explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to enhance delivery speed, quality, and innovation.
  • Mentor and coach consultants and technical team members to foster collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of Salesforce capabilities, integration technologies, and digital transformation trends.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Over 8 years of proven experience delivering complex Salesforce technical solutions in consulting or enterprise contexts.
  • Experience working in public sector environments with ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
  • Valued expertise in Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS).
  • Strong Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I/II, OmniStudio, Application Architect, Data Architect, or System Architect are highly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and related Salesforce products.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce integration patterns, APIs, and middleware platforms.
  • Proven knowledge of DevOps practices, version control, and CI/CD implementations.
  • Ability to leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to accelerate delivery and enhance client value.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with record of transforming complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for technology, ongoing learning, and delivering exceptional client outcomes.
  • Skilled in managing high-demand, meeting-intensive client engagements with effective communication.
  • Confident engaging senior stakeholders and mentoring junior team members.
